Saturday we had a party with maple syrup and invited a lot of the usual people, some that were leaving and we wanted to say goodbye to. But we also invited three new boys to the party. They are all from home, and we’ve been in contact with them and thought it would be fun to get them over (especially cause we remember what our first bit of time here was like, when you didn’t know anyone). And it was sooo much fun. We had 15 people in our apartment, cause pancakes need to be hot when you eat them, which when you think about the size of our apartment leaves very little wiggle room. But everyone was good with it, climbing over the beds and around people.
After the brunch (which started at noon) we made a whirlwind tour to the Ikea, so the new Canadian Boys could get some of the stuff that they needed before it closed (at 6pm and before Sunday, since everything here is closed on Sundays, something that we all had to get used to). Which was really fun, I don’t think I have ever been through an Ikea that fast with so many people before (we almost all went).
Then C and R downstairs had us back for quesadillas (which were delicious). S had already cleaned like everything, even though we told her not to, which was really awesome, cause then we could go straight to bed, and I think it’s the best sleep I’ve had in a week! There’s just a bit of cleaning to do now (vacuuming, nothing to serious), but today is a lazy day (I may start on my last paper, gasp J).
Cheers,
Tiny
PS Teddy didn't want any pictures, he's in hibernation cause it's like -10 here all the time.

| This is what our room looked like (and that's not even everyone) |
| Two of the new Canadians (the two in front, wearing stripes) Both of them are C's, so I may need to come up with a new system. |

It was a great party, eh? ;-)
ReplyDeletehow unusual more boys than ever - hmmm. 5 of 15? Sounds like a good day. Good luck on the paper, mom
