This may be a little confusing

Ok so I know that I told everyone what we were doing yesterday already, but I am going to give a quick recap. So we went to the Café in the middle of the river and it was nice, but we didn’t stay too long, because it was a little ‘too’ nice for us. Then for lunch and then to the armoury. They had new English Audio Tour so it was a totally different experience from when I was there last time (I actually knew what I was looking at) Then of course we had been to the Hauptplatz 3 times already and hadn’t stopped at the gummy bear shop, so we made a stop in there! After that we came home and got ready to go for Supper at E and P’s. It was totally amazing, all ‘Typical Austrian Food’ which was nice, because we really hadn’t had too much of that yet. We met with A (from Taiwan) who is coming with us to Ireland, and E and P it was delicious. P makes wonderful food. I have pictures of it all just to make everyone jealous. This morning has been another lazy morning, I’m not just wearing out my L’il Bro, but also myself with all of this walking!

Talk to you Later,

Tiny

  2. Soup

+ 0.5 kg (1 pound) of beef meat (preferably with a little bit of fat)
    + 3 carrots
    + parsley root
    + celery
    + onion
+ salt (yes, you need salt)
    + some peppercorns

Put meat, salt and peppercorns into 2 liters of cold water and heat it up. Let it simmer for at least 2 hours (it should not really cook; 85° would be perfect). Add celery, onion, carrots and parsley root 30-45 minutes before soup is done (depending on how soft they should be).

Optionally beef bones can also be used in addition to the meat.

    Pancakes (for soup)

    + 1 cup flour
    + 3-4 eggs
    + 1 cup milk
    + salt (very important)

Mix ingredients to a viscous dough. Heat up a pan with a bit of oil and cook thin (very thin) pancakes. Let them cool off, roll up and cut in thin slices.

    Cheers P.
